Besides being able to communicate with the world, learn, and have fun, the visitor to La Ladera Park and Library has the opportunity of enjoying an exceptionally breathtaking view of the city. The site, designed by architect Giancarlo Mazzanti, located on the ruins of a former jail and conserving some of its architectural elements, stands as a symbol of the changes that have taken place in Medellín in the past few years. Users of the library have access to auditoriums, recreational areas, Internet cafes, book collections, reading rooms for both children and adults, an exhibition hall, and public open spaces available for recreation and sports.
