![]() ![]() You can find a Metro Station near every major tourist attraction in Medellín. Practically the entire city and the metropolitan area are served by the two metropolitan train lines and its three cable car routes, known as Metrocables, which also serve the Arví Eco-Tourist Park, located in the Annexed Village of Santa Elena. The three Metrocables network is a gondola-type aerial system that provides easy access to otherwise difficult to reach mountainous sectors. Thus, as you travel up and down the mountains on the Metrocable you can enjoy spectacular views of Medellín. The system connects with 112 feeder bus routes with integrated fares, which expand the area of coverage to the entire Aburrá Valley. Traveling on the Metro System is a tourist attraction in itself. The network connects South with North and Downtown with the westernmost corner of the city. Thus the Metro is the safest, most efficient, and economical option to get to see and appreciate the city’s architecture and natural beauty. With a large portion of its structure built over a viaduct, the Metro allows a bird’s eye view of the city’s emblematic places such as downtown Medellín, the birthplace of this bustling metropolis which can be best seen and admired from the Metro. The Metro system and cable cars are open Monday through Saturday from 4:30 AM to 11:00 PM. Sundays and Holidays from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Metrocable Lines J and K operate from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
