Nightlife in Medellín

In general, nightclubs and clubs open from 9pm or 10pm until 4am, though you’ll find some spots that keep the party going longer.

Almost all the places on this list charge a cover fee, which is normal for these establishments. Also, drinks inside will be considerably more expensive than at local stores.

The party zone of the city is in El Poblado, but there are other spots both inside and outside Medellín that are also lively for going out at night:

Poblado

This is the preferred area among tourists, so prices tend to be high. The party zone is concentrated in Provenza, Parque Lleras, and the surroundings of Parque del Poblado. Here you’ll find incredibly varied atmospheres with amazing parties of all genres.

Las Palmas

Besides having excellent restaurants and one of the best viewpoints in Medellín, Las Palmas road is home to several nightclubs. Many are “fondas” — exotically decorated with traditional local objects, featuring very entertaining shows.

La 70

A boulevard in Laureles that stretches between the Atanasio Girardot Stadium and the Pontifical Bolivarian University. There are many hotels, restaurants, and bars here. At night, the nightclubs come alive with reggaeton, salsa, tropical music, and vallenato.

La 33

From Cerro Nutibara to Av. 80, there are several establishments frequented mostly by locals. Prices tend to be more affordable here, with a predominance of urban music venues.
